My name is Erika Delgado and I am very excited to be your child's fifth grade teacher!
Let's work together to have an amazing, fun-fillled year with lots of learning!
Let me start by telling you a little bit about myself...
I was born in El Paso, Texas and I was raised bi-culturally living both in El Paso and in Juarez, Mexico. I attended part of my elementary school in Juarez and then for my 6th grade year I changed schools to a private school here in El Paso. I attended The University of Texas at El Paso and earned a Bachelor's degree in Bilingual Education. I earned my Master's degree, also from UTEP, as an Instructional Specialist for Bilingual Education.
I have taught at different grade levels from Pre-K to 6th grade. I have also taught in Denver, Colorado as well as in Juarez, Mexico. This will be my eighth year as a teacher, and I plan to teach for many more to come! I feel extremely blessed to teach fifth grade and prepare my students for middle school. This is my third year teaching third grade at St. Joseph School.
I am very excited to get to know each of your children. As you will see, I really enjoy sharing with parents, and with other teachers, the wonderful things that the students will accomplish this year. I am a very interactive teacher, who loves to do projects, videos, and experiments. It will give you great insight into our classroom!
